Affiliations...The Tucson Model Yacht Club is sanctioned by the American Model Yachting Association
. The nonprofit organization which promote model yachting in the U.S. TMYC is club
number 170 and have been featured several times in the AMYA magazine.
When and Where...Tucson Model Yacht Club holds it's events Sun City Pond on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. We hold organized races
starting at 1.30 PM. General sailing , boat tuning and practice is held before the
racing.

A Brief Description...Sail BoatsIf you like the technical aspects of sailing, tactics needed to race, or just enjoy the beauty of Sailboats we have it! The Club holds yacht racing events within the club and attends racing regattas with other boat clubs in Arizona. TMYC actively supports one AMYA Sanctioned class of racing sail boats but we are considering adding other classes:
Scale BoatsFor the individual who likes to get down to the "nuts and bolts" of building model boats to scale, this is the division. Scale boating offers the fun and challenge of building and sailing anything from a small sail boat to large schooners. So if you have any size sail boat bring it along and lets see it. You can talk to people with the same interests and fine out about the latest and greatest in building technique's.
